Nora Hyasat
Australia
Since graduating with an Ma in Architecture at University of Technology, Sydney Australia in 2011, Nora’s career to date has seen her cover a diverse spectrum within Architecture and Design. While working across both Architecture and Interior Design within the commercial and retail sector, Nora has also set up her own business bridging Interior Design, Architecture and product design, while freelancing as a building designer. This mergence across disciplines within design can be best seen in her latest project: an interior fit out for a Medical Practice in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where design was a tool to create a holistic and nurturing environment for the community. This thinking was developed from the spatial planning, to the way that each surface and wall junction eliminated strong angles for safety and ease of movement. This was further expanded to the curation of art, which was selected on the basis of in-depth colour research to promote mental health and wellness and relaxation.
Nora is currently working on high-end residential projects across Sydney’s North Coast and East Coast. Along with her expansive career in design, Nora continues to give back through education, having over 9 years’ experience teaching Architectural Design to University students.
With her work across a broad range of projects and practices, Nora maintains a highly creative and expansive approach to Architecture, believing that true innovation and global impact occurs at the intersection of intersection of disciplines and multi-disciplinary practices.
